What role does digital technology play in our society? And its environmental impact?

Did you know that the digital sector accounts for 4% of total greenhouse gas emissions (as much as airplanes), consumes 12% of the world's electricity and uses over 1,000 billion liters of water every year? Do you know how our personal data is used without our knowledge? Have you ever heard of data centers? And connected devices? Have you ever had the sensation of feeling your smartphone vibrate when in reality you haven't received anything? It's called FOMO syndrome and it's a sign of our digital addiction.

This online conference will give you a very simple understanding of what digital represents, what the current and future challenges of the digitalization of our society are, and what good digital habits we can adopt both at work and at home to reduce our environmental impact and our digital addiction.
