Details & registration

In an economy where artificial intelligence is becoming a driver of innovation and competitiveness, this half-day training course aims to demystify AI and show its practical uses for organizations. At the heart of the session, participants will address the fundamentals of AI: the role of data as raw material, key concepts of Big Data, and how these elements enable AI systems to analyze information to extract value. The event will also highlight the importance of preparing and structuring data before considering any AI project, particularly in advanced applications such as generative AI.

Led by Xavier Bays, Head of Consulting & Associate at Swiss Statistical Design & Innovation in Fribourg, the session combines theory and practical examples to help participants understand not only how the technologies work, but also the reflexes they need to adopt in order to successfully integrate them into their daily activities.

Data Science: collective intelligence at the service of agile, ROI-focused AI

While ChatGPT has succeeded in bringing AI into the spotlight and making it a tool that is accessible to almost everyone, data science has remained more discreet, confined to more confidential discussions or events and smaller circles. Yet it is data science that is the source of what constitutes the multiple realities of artificial intelligence today. When combined with machine learning mechanisms or user-friendly, generative, or explainable interfaces, data science can help shape the future competitiveness of Swiss SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland.

Data scientists are therefore our allies in the quest for digital transformation guided by reliable and interpretable data, enabling you, as an SME, to anticipate not only digital transformations, but also socio-economic changes that will shape the development of your entrepreneurial activity. And that is the credo of Xavier Bays, whom we had the pleasure of welcoming to Alp ICT's YouTube channel during one of our #TechTalk episodes.
