Innovaud & La Savane Podcast are teaming up in Lausanne for an evening dedicated to Biotools—the technologies that provide laboratories with the tools needed to develop tomorrow’s innovations in the life sciences. Held in Lausanne, the event will consist of a live recording of two podcast episodes, followed by a cocktail reception and a networking session.
Tools to Support Innovation in the Life Sciences
Whether they are instruments, platforms, consumables, or software, Biotools are not treatments themselves, but they provide life sciences laboratories and companies with the technologies needed to develop, test, and accelerate new innovations. The event will explore this category—which lies at the intersection of the biotech and medtech sectors and laboratory and digital technologies—through two discussions moderated by Alexandre Weber and Max Andersson, co-founders of the podcast La Savane.
The evening will begin with François Capel, Innovation & Life Sciences Advisor at Innovaud, who will discuss the potential of Biotools and how these technologies could reshape the industry. Margaux Duchamp, CEO of ArcoScreen, will then share the story and journey of this startup, which is developing technology designed to help pharmaceutical companies identify, using primary cells, promising drugs that target G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), with the goal of accelerating the transition from research to clinical trials.
For SMEs and startups in French-speaking Switzerland active in healthcare, the life sciences, or digital technologies applied to these sectors, this event offers concrete insights into a technology segment that is still relatively underrecognized as such. Combining an overview of the Biotools ecosystem with insights from entrepreneurial experience, the event will provide a better understanding of the role these technologies play in the MedTech innovation chain, while fostering exchanges with ecosystem stakeholders during the networking session starting at 8:00 p.m.
