The flagship event of HEIG-VD returns for its 4th edition from March 17 to 21, 2025. Nearly 300 final-year students in engineering and business economics at HEIG-VD will meet for a week dedicated to innovation to take on between 50 and 60 challenges.
Innovation CRUNCH Time aims to create a unique collaborative learning experience, based on encounters and exchanges between HEIG-VD final-year engineering and business students and industry. Organized in partnership with the Université de Technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard (UTBM), the CRUNCH focuses on innovation, collaboration and the development of students' soft skills.
The event will feature an Innovation Challenge and a Startup Challenge.
Looking for innovative solutions to your problems? Entrust an innovation challenge to students.
Development of new products or services, digital transformation, connected objects, process optimization, UX/UI (user experience)... working in multidisciplinary teams, students use their theoretical and practical knowledge (IT, energy, electrical engineering, mechanics, mobility, UI/UX or economics) to solve challenges put forward by partner organizations, using a design thinking approach.
They are supervised by some thirty coaches from the teaching and research staff, and have access to HEIG-VD resources for prototyping (FabLab, software, etc.). By participating, partner organizations offer students immersion in the world of work, while helping them to develop essential skills for their future professional careers.
