IMI x EPFL Game Jam 2024
To raise awareness among the younger generation of the key role of information, IMI (Initiative for Media Innovation), in partnership with several organizations, is launching a video game competition aimed at students of computer science, journalism and design.
Rethink Information: 24-hour Game Jam
Based on an original idea from InForm, this 24-hour event kicks off on the evening of Friday September 27, and challenges students to design and develop video games on the theme of information. Fact-checking, a journey into the life of a journalist, deepfakes... participating students will be accompanied by a seasoned journalist, a developer and several student associations to create video game prototypes that are also communication and educational media for young audiences. The event is hosted by EPFL and organized in collaboration with CLIC, GameLab UNIL-EPFL, ISART Digital and LauzHack.
