Best practices in digital health & Outlook for healthcare over the next 5 years

At a time when health data is becoming a strategic asset—but also a potential target for cyber threats—cybersecurity is becoming a priority.

The morning will be devoted to presentations by experts on topics and practical cases related to data protection, secure collaboration, and the implementation of the Data Protection Act (DPA). In the afternoon, discussions will turn to the outlook for the next five years: federal and cantonal digital health strategy, data interoperability in the context of artificial intelligence, reliability and security of mobile health applications, and the development of digital skills among healthcare professionals.

Among the speakers, we can highlight the contributions of:

  • Aurélie Rosemberg, raising awareness of cybersecurity through a serious game
  • Charles-Edouard Bardyn on generative AI applications and security aspects in the healthcare sector
  • Martine Bourqui-Pittet on the new federal law on electronic health records (LDSan)
  • Paul Vermot on new skills for tomorrow's caregivers, or how to learn to care in the digital age

AI & Health: challenges, risks, regulation... & the urgent need for action

In addition to security, digital health presents many other challenges, which we had the pleasure of discussing and exploring in depth with our recent guests on the Alp ICT YouTube channel. At the heart of a healthcare system under pressure—with an aging population, rising costs, and rapid advances in medical knowledge—the Geneva HealthTech ecosystem recognizes the urgency of the situation and is taking concrete action by creating a dedicated AI hub within the Campus Biotech. To introduce us to this space, the thinking and experimentation that takes place there, and the organizations behind it—the HUG, the Wyss Center, and the Geneva Cantonal Department of Health—we are pleased to welcome three key players who have made it their new base for research and action to this new episode of #TechTalk.
