Cloud Sustainability Days

The conference is organized by EPFL's EcoCloud Center for Sustainable Cloud Technologies, with the participation of the Swiss Datacenter Efficiency Association (SDEA), EPFL's FUSTIC association, EPFL faculty members and industry partners.

The program will cover sustainability in cloud infrastructure, focusing on the efficiency and emissions of IT infrastructure (servers, storage, network) and DataCenter (electricity, cooling, heat recycling).

Representatives from IBM, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Microsoft and EPFL'sCircular Economy Initiative will be taking part in these events.

On September 16 at 1:30pm, the SDEA is organizing a round table on efficiency and emissions in data centers: "Metrics, standards and economics" with Vincent Barro (Schneider Electric), Roger Sueess (Greendatacenter), Martin Casaulta (HPE) and Mihaela Grigorie (SFOE), moderated by SDEA President Babak Falsafi.
