Black Alps 2026

November 5, 2026 - November 6, 2025
La Marive - Yverdon-les-Bains

On November 5 and 6, 2026, Black Alps will bring together cybersecurity professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts in Yverdon-les-Bains for two days dedicated to the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and advancements in the field. With more than 600 participants, around 20 talks, and four side events, this new edition will combine keynotes, technical presentations, networking, and a CTF (Capture The Flag) challenge centered on today’s major digital security challenges.

From offensive AI to post-quantum cryptography.

Application security, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, cloud security, automation, network protection, and cryptography: the Black Alps program will cover a particularly broad spectrum of cybersecurity topics. Artificial intelligence will also play a significant role, both as a new tool for detecting vulnerabilities and as an attack surface and a means of enhancing the capabilities of cyberattackers.

Among the presentations on the program, the following are particularly noteworthy:

  • "Building Systems That Survive Attacks: Lessons from Banknote Security " with Ünige Laskay, Manager of the Forensic Competence Center at SICPA, who will draw on lessons learned from banknote security to explore the principles of resilience, trust, and defense in systems subject to constant attacks.
  • From Discovery to Action: Rethinking AppSec with Agentic Pipelines and MTTA, featuring Daniel Fernandez Coviella, Senior Application Security Engineer at Visa, who will present lessons learned from using agentic AI pipelines to accelerate the discovery, validation, and remediation of application vulnerabilities.
  • "The Evolution of Adversarial AI: Tales from the Frontlines of Threat Intelligence " with Daniel Kapellmann Zafra, Staff Security Engineer at Google, who will describe how malicious actors are already using LLMs to enhance social engineering, reconnaissance, and malware development, based on observations made between 2024 and 2026.
  • Not How Fast, But How Well: A Practitioner’s Guide to PQC Migration with Sonia Duc, Senior Security Consultant at Adnovum, who will discuss the transition to post-quantum cryptography—from identifying affected systems to assessing risks, prioritizing, and implementing a migration strategy.
  • Enterprise AI Over-Trust: Abusing M365 Copilot via Legacy Paths with Mark Vaitsman, Security Research Team Leader, and Dolev Taler, Senior Security Researcher at Varonis, who will demonstrate how the combination of existing web vulnerabilities and new AI-related behaviors can create novel attack chains in Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Open Session x SMEs: Cybersecurity—Balancing Governance Challenges and Digital Transformation Strategies

This edition will also feature a new “Open Session” format, in French and accessible free of charge upon registration, centered on the theme: “AI is transforming cybersecurity: evolution or revolution?” Representatives from the Federal Office for Cybersecurity (OFCS), Orange Cyberdefense, Rothschild & Co Bank, HEIG-VD, and YesWeHack will compare institutional, offensive, defensive, and educational perspectives on the evolution of cybersecurity professions and skills in the face of AI.

For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in French-speaking Switzerland, Black Alps thus offers an opportunity to move beyond a purely theoretical approach to cybersecurity and gain a better understanding of how attacks and defense mechanisms are actually evolving. Topics such as generative and agent-based AI, application security, Microsoft 365, and post-quantum cryptography enable organizations to anticipate the risks directly associated with their digital transformation.
