On April 1, 2026, Lausanne will host the 11th edition of BioInnovation Day (BIND), a landmark event in the heart of Switzerland's Health Valley, organized by BioAlps. This day will bring together researchers, start-ups, investors, and industry players to discuss innovations from academic institutions in western Switzerland in the fields of life sciences and health technologies.
BioInnovation Day is a unique platform dedicated to technology transfer and bringing together science and industry. At the 2026 edition, more than 30 innovative projects in biotech, medtech, digital health, and biotools will be presented in the form of short pitches by teams from EPFL, UNIL, CHUV, UNIGE, and HES-SO, among others. The event will bring together around 300 participants, including investors and industrial partners, to promote collaboration and the emergence of future start-ups or technology licenses.
The program will alternate between presentations, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities. Discussions will focus on strategic partnerships between industry and research, as well as investment mechanisms in the life sciences—two essential levers for accelerating the commercialization of innovations emerging from laboratories.
Alp ICT was delighted to discuss the theme and impact of digital technologies, particularly AI, in the healthcare sector during one of its latest #TechTalk episodes with three representatives from the new AI Health Cluster based at the Campus Biotech in Geneva.
