5th Edition of the Gender/Digital Conference – Under the Skin of Algorithms: Health, Gender, and Digital Technology
On November 5, 2026, the Gender Equality and Digital Transformation (EGTN) project will host the 5th edition of the Gender/Digital Conference in Lausanne. Titled “Under the Skin of Algorithms: Health, Gender, and Digital Technology,” this new edition—organized in collaboration with the CHUV and Unisanté—will explore the interactions between the digital transformation of healthcare, gender issues, and equality, bringing together diverse expertise on technological and social innovations that can promote more inclusive healthcare practices.
Digital Health: What Are the Equity Challenges in the Age of Algorithms?
As digital technologies play an increasingly significant role in the healthcare sector, this conference will examine their gender-specific impacts, as well as the opportunities they present for advancing healthcare practices. Through presentations, a roundtable discussion, and opportunities for dialogue, the conference will bring together diverse perspectives on the challenges of digital health, equality, and inclusion, building on the work carried out by the EGTN project to better understand and reduce gender inequalities and biases in the digital sphere.
