40 Years of Information Technology in Valais – Conference #2: Augmented Reality & Immersive Technologies for Industry and Society
On October 29, 2026, the Business Information Systems program at HES-SO Valais-Wallis will host a conference in Sierre focused on augmented reality and immersive technologies for industry and society.
This event is part of a series of three conferences organized to mark the 40th anniversary of the School of Computer Science in Valais, which will highlight innovation, applied research, and careers in the digital field.
Augmented Reality & Immersive Technologies: When Digital Technologies Meet Practical Applications
This second conference will focus specifically on the possibilities offered by augmented, virtual, and mixed reality and their practical applications in industry and society. Examples such as support for industrial operations, new interfaces, applications in the healthcare sector, and convergence with artificial intelligence will illustrate how these technologies are evolving from the experimental stage toward practical applications.
Two presentations will provide a deeper exploration of the topic:
